The Springfield Public Schools have begun a significant outreach campaign to identify the community's vision of a quality education. This process will work with a broad base of constituent groups from the community along with staff to identify strategies for delivering students that quality education.

We will create the Springfield Quality Education Model (S-QEM) by employing a two part strategy.

(1) We will begin by gathering input from the schools and the community to determine what they value in education as well as to identify the core attributes of student success.

(2) We will then meet with representative groups of staff and community members to draft a strategic plan of programs, services, and teaching practices that fulfill the community's vision of a quality education.
