Homebound instruction refers to tutorial instruction
provided to a student who will miss a minimum of two weeks of school
and is unable to attend school for medical requirements or expulsion.
When a parent requests homebound instruction for their child, the
district will require a release of confidential information form
to be signed so the district may contact the student's physician.
Homebound instruction will not be offered for medical reasons without
confirmation of the need by the physician.
Students are expected to attend all tutorial sessions.
If a student missed two sessions, the district may terminate the
homebound instruction services. Students will receive grades for
their work with a homebound tutor, however, high school students
must meet district requirements to earn credit towards graduation.
Questions concerning homebound instruction can be
directed to the Curriculum Office at 726-3250.
