Jonathan teaches instrumental music for Pleasant Hill Middle and High School. His wife, Suzanne, is a music teacher in the Bethel School District. The Lights' have two children. Gavin is a 2005 graduate of Springfield High and is currently atending the U.S. Air Force Academy. Their daughter, Bria, is a 2006 graduate of Springfield High and will attend the University of Oregon.
