The community is at theheart of nearly everything we do at Springfield Public Schools. Westrongly believe the schools belong to the community and the communitybelongs to the schools. We strive to reflect our diverse population inour curriculum and we seek the support of our fast-growing businesscommunity in providing professional opportunities for students. Thecommunity played a vital role in the creation of our Springfield Quality Education Model(S-QEM), which seeks to do more than raise test scores or graduationrates — it’s an initiative that strives to provide students with a highquality of education and the sense that they are citizens of theircommunity.
