Outstanding Hamlin Student Accomplishments:
Over the years, many students from Hamlin have accomplished great things. Here are some of them.
- 2008 - Hamlin 6th grader wins first place in Springfield District Air Car Challenge
- 2008 - Hamlin 7th grader wins first place in Springfield District Spelling Contest
- 2008 - Hamlin 8th graders win first place in Springfield District Brain Bowl
- 2008 - Hamlin (again) wins 2nd overall in Springfield District Science Olympics: 8th grade team-1st place, 7th grade team-2nd place, 6th grade team-2nd place
- 2008 - Two Hamlin students earn the privilege to read on broadcast radio public service announcements they wrote on gambling addition
- 2008 - Hamlin 8th grader qualifies for the Oregon state National Geographic Bee
- 2007 - 3 out of 5 Springfield High School Martin Luther King writing awards go to for Hamlin students
- 2007 - Hamlin wins 1st place in the Lane County Brain Bowl
- 2007 - 7th grade boys basketball team is 8-0 to win the district title
- 2007 - 8th grade student honored Miss Lane County Outstanding Teen
- 2007 - 7th grade Brain Bowl team wins 1st place in the Springfield School District contest
- 2007 - Former Hamlin students win 2nd in long jump and 2nd in triple jump, 1st in triple jump, and 2nd in long jumping at Springfield High's varsity track meet.
- 2007 - Hamlin wins 2nd overall in Springfield District Math Olympics
- 2007 - Hamlin wins 2nd overall in Springfield District Science Olympics
- 2007 - Former Hamlin student is chosen to attend the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan.
- 2007 - Former student earns full ride scholarship to Princeton
- 2006 - 8th grade Brain Bowl team wins 1st place in the Springfield School District contest
- 2006 - Hamlin wins 1st overall in Springfield District Math Olympics
- 2006 - Two 8th grade students (taking advanced math at Springfield High School) earn Springfield Hign's highest math test scores on Oregon's state test
- 2005 - Former student wins full ride scholarship to MIT
- Former Hamlin student, Eric Millegan, star of TV series, "Bones"
- Former Hamlin student, Chelsea Wagner, was basketball star of University of Oregon
- Former Hamlin student, Sarah Hedgepeth, was basketball record breaker at Portland State University and world traveling basketball player
- Former Hamlin student is ER doctor at Sacred Heart Hospital
- Former Hamlin student, Josh Line, is University of Oregon graduate, and Marshfield High football coach
- Former Hamlin student, Kierra Morrisette, associate producer of TV series "Jericho" and several other TV series
- Several former Hamlin students are now public school teachers here in Springfield School District
- Several others teach in other districts

- Classified Employee of the Year
- Oregon's Student Teacher of the Year.
- A teacher who was also an Olympic track coach for the 2000 & 2004 Olympic meadalist Maria Mutola
