7th Grade Supplies 2007-2008 School Year:

  • large binder (3" rings)
  • pencil pouch for binder (3-holed)
  • subject dividers (at least 6)
  • 3-hole notebook paper (no spiral-bound for assignments)
  • 12 #2 pencils
  • 3 ball-point ink pens (blue or black)
  • colored pencils (used all year, so try to get long ones)
  • 12" ruler, metric and English units
  • scientific calculator
  • protractor
  • compass
  • 1 bound (8 x 11") tablet for journal writing (Woodford block)

    Optional items:

  • hand-held sharpener for colored pencils (makes pencils last longer)
  • pencil-tip erasers
  • large eraserhole reinforcers
  • spell-checker (expensive but useful)

    Physical Education:

    P.E classes are co-educational and students are expected to dress down each day. Students will be expected to dress down by the 5th day of school.

    Bottoms:  Any loose fitting pull-on shorts or sweatpants without buttons or zippers.
    Tops:  HMS P.E. shirt is required.  They may be purchased at registration or throughout the year for $6.00
    Socks:  white athletic or tube socks
    Shoes:  Tennis or athletic shoes with non-marking soles.  Must have laces and be tied appropriately for class.
                  No platform/dress shoes, sandals or flip-flops.

    ALL CLOTHING SHOULD HAVE THE STUDENTS’ NAME MARKED WITH PERMANENT INK.
