8th Grade Supplies 2007-2008 School Year:

  • 3-Ring Binder (3" or 2.5") without folders
  • Notebook subject dividers (at least 6)
  • Spiral Notebooks (3)
  • Pencil Pouch -- 3-holed
  • 12 #2 Pencils
  • 3 ink pens (blue or black). ALL assignments to be graded are to be written with this type of pen.
  • Colored Markers/ Pencils
  • Compass
  • 12" ruler, metric and English units
  • Protractor
  • Scientific calculator
  • Graph paper
  • Collage ruled notebook paper (no torn hole for class assignment)
  • Hamlin PE shirt ($5, purchased at school at start of year)
  • PE Shorts (must be different than those worn to school)
  • Athletic Shoes for PE
  • $10 Shop Fee/ Semester (ONLY if taking Industrial Technology)
  • $10 Family and Consumer Studies Fee/Semester

    • Physical Education:

    P.E classes are co-educational and students are expected to dress down each day. Students will be expected to dress down by the 5th day of school.

    Bottoms:  Any loose fitting pull-on shorts or sweatpants without buttons or zippers.
    Tops:  HMS P.E. shirt is required.  They may be purchased at registration or throughout the year for $6.00
    Socks:  white athletic or tube socks
    Shoes:  Tennis or athletic shoes with non-marking soles.  Must have laces and be tied appropriately for class.
                  No platform/dress shoes, sandals or flip-flops.

    ALL CLOTHING SHOULD HAVE THE STUDENTS’ NAME MARKED WITH PERMANENT INK.
