Super Summer

 

IT'S TIME TO REGISTER FOR SUPER SUMMER 2008!

  The University of Oregon is celebrating the 28th year of its Super Summer

program for advanced learners completing grades K-5 who love to  learn.

This three-week program runs Monday through Friday, June 30  ­ July 18 aat

Holt Elementary, 770 Calvin Rd. Super Summer kids are free  to create,

design, and invent with other advanced and motivated students  in a safe and

encouraging environment.  Students enthusiastically  participate in

integrated, mixed-grade classes with a multi-disciplinary  focus.  Children

choose from a myriad of classes that incorporate  one or more of the

following curricular areas: Science, Technology,  Visual and Performing

Arts, Foreign Language, Creative Problem Solving,  Mathematics, and Language

Arts.


  Super Summer 2008 is designed for highly motivated, advanced children who

love to learn.  Parent and educator recommendations are necessary  for those

students who have not previously participated in either Super  Summer or

Super Saturday Programs. (Application included in the Super  Summer 2008

brochure.)


  Tuition is $153 per class or $444 for all three classes.  Extended  Care

is available - AM $65, PM $182. The registration deadline is May 23,  2008.

Applications/registrations received by this date will ensure  student

participation in the first round of course choices.


  Scholarships are available to those families that qualify for the reduced

or free lunch program through the public schools, or for those families

that demonstrate financial need.
