The Charge: In February of 2006, a citizen's committee comprised of citizens and staff was charged with developing a draft District wellness policy to respond to requirements of the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004 and to bring that plan back to the Board for final approval.

The Outcome: In June of 2006, a draft wellness policy was put before the Board and approved and the draft policy committee was disbanded.
