Welcome to the Positive Behavior Support Homepage for Springfield
Public Schools.
Springfield Public Schools is proud to be a leader in adopting
and implementing Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) to enhance the
success of Springfield’s children. We are committed to providing
our students the academic and social-behavioral skills they need
in order to be successful in life. PBS is an important part of achieving
that goal. The commitment to supporting our students through PBS
is reflected in that fact that Springfield has a full-time PBS Coordinator
to support the educators who are doing the day-to-day work with
our students.
Thanks to the visionary leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Nancy
Golden, and the committed leadership and skillful grant management
of Special Programs Director, Dr. Keith Hollenbeck, Springfield
Public Schools has become an exemplar of "best practices"
in district support for PBS.
Springfield is also a proud sponsor of the Oregon PBS Network Annual
Conference on Positive Behavior Support, and our PBS Coordinator
is a founding member of the Oregon PBS Network.
This home page is designed as a support for Springfield educators
who are working to support the social-behavioral success of Springfield
children. After viewing the information available in this site and
reading the FAQs, if you have additional questions about Positive
Behavior Support (PBS) or about the supports available to Springfield
schools and staff, please contact the PBS
Coordinator.
We hope that you find your visit here informative and useful. If you have suggestions for additional information or resources
you would like to see added to our PBS Homepage, please contact
the PBS Consultant
