School Profile

Ridgeview Elementary School serves about 450 students in a residential neighborhood in east Springfield. Our name comes from the view of the Cascade Mountain foothills from our school grounds. The school was built in 1981.

Our student body is made up of 52% boys and 47% girls, with small minority ratios (93% white; 3% Hispanic; 4% all other categories).

We have high stability among our families with a turnover rate of only 11% per year.

Our school was rated as "exceptional" by the Oregon Department of Education in a recent "state report card" and as "meeting adequate yearly progress goals" on a recent federal report card. Ridgeview students outperform state averages in reading, math and school attendance. We are known for our outstanding parent involvement and for special programs in reading and character education.
